NAME: Rich Viertel

BIO: The Viertel family has been part of the IC community since 1990 – raising 3 daughters who attended IC and Bishop Watterson HS – witnessing how a faith-centric education and community powerfully and positively shape children and adults in their life journey.
Personally, I’ve held many leadership positions in the IC community as ICAA Athletic Director (Girls), Parish Festival Chairs (twice!), Knights of Columbus Council 14962 Grand Knight (also twice!), RCIA sponsor, team sports coach (10 years) and a member of a host of special event committees.
This new role is one of my biggest honors in the IC community as an opportunity to represent so much of what is good here and what can be considered to make things better in our faith journey. I look forward to listening to the voices of the parish community to learn how their faith has made a difference in their lives and what is to come.
WHY I JOINED THE COUNCIL: To become closer to the process of how we, as individuals, can make a positive impact in supporting the mission of the parish.
