Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest, Catholic, fraternal service organization founded in 1882 by now Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney in New Haven, CT. Since that time, the KofC has expanded to 1.9 million members completing over 75 million hours of service work worldwide.

On a local level, the Knights of Columbus provides all Catholic men of Immaculate Conception with the opportunity to give of their time, talent and treasure to better the parish in their own way.  As a parish-based council, our focus is on the needs of Immaculate Conception Parish and the surrounding community. It is our Catholic faith that leads to good works informed by our four core principles: Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.

Members of the Immaculate Conception Knights of Columbus Council number over 70 Catholic men who perform many of the activities suggested by the Supreme Council under the general categories of Church, Community, Council, Culture of Life, Youth and Family. These include the following annual events and community-building activities:

  • Pancake breakfast and toy drive in conjunction with the St. Vincent de Paul society
  • Winter diaper drive to benefit local pregnancy and women’s health centers
  • Lenten fish fries – click here for 2021 information!
  • Early summer car show
