Family Faith Formation Program
Family Faith Formation, Immaculate Conception’s religious education program, is a learning model that enables children of different ages to learn together within their own family and empowers parents to be the ones teaching their children. A catechist plans the lesson, prepares the materials, and is present during each session to guide parents through the day’s content. Family Faith Formation is curated for students in first through eighth grades who do not attend a Catholic school, but any other families who would like to participate are welcome too!
Sessions for children in first through seventh grades will take place on Sundays from 9:30-10:45 a.m., beginning September 7th (this includes those preparing to receive their First Communion). Contact Veronica Dannemiller at vdannemiller@iccols.org or (614) 267-9241 ext. 609 if you have any questions about the program, model, or content prior to the meeting.
Confirmation preparation will take place on Sundays from 12:00-1:00 p.m., starting September 14th and will follow a classroom model. For questions, contact Mary Ann Rivera at marivera@iccols.org or (614) 267-9241 ext. 605.
If you have a child who is behind on receiving any of his or her sacraments, it’s not too late! For children who have been baptized but have not received First Communion or Confirmation with the rest of their class or for unbaptized children age seven or older, contact Veronica. For unbaptized children under the age of seven, contact Elizabeth DeLuca at edeluca@iccols.org or (614) 267-9241 ext. 608.
