We are excited to announce that Immaculate Conception will be hosting two sisters from The Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts from August 3 through August 20.
Their order started in Italy in the 19th century. These two sisters are currently engaged in pastoral work on the east coast of the U.S. While they are with us, they will be engaged in pastoral ministry, including visiting the sick and homebound. They will also have several events here at IC (details in below).
When you see them, please give them a warm welcome to Immaculate Conception.
Events
- Social with the sisters:Join us Tuesday August 4 after the 6:15 p.m. Mass. We will gather at 7 p.m. by the picnic tables and Grotto. Refreshments will be provided. All are invited to attend – families, children, young and old. Bring your blankets/lawn chairs. We will conclude the evening by praying the rosary with the sisters.
- Pro-life Walk:
Saturday, August 8 at 10:00 a.m. We will meet at the grotto and walk to the Aria Medical Center at 510 E. North Broadway to pray for an end to abortion. - Vocations Chat:
All middle school and high school girls are invited to a chat with the sisters, and for pizza and social time, Tuesday, August 18 at 7:00 p.m. in Marian Hall.
