I guess you could say that my vocation was inspired and sustained by encounters with the Body of Christ. The Church is the Mystical Body of Christ, and it has been through encounters with Catholics truly living their faith, especially priests and seminarians giving witness to their faith, that first planted the seed of my vocational discernment. Encounters with the Eucharist, the True Body and Blood of Christ, especially as an altar server at Mass, drew me closer to the Lord, and gave me a desire for service to God and His People. We all have a vocation of service in the Church, either as a priest, religious or married person, and my calling has led me to serve the Body of Christ, both God’s People and the Eucharist.
