Sacred Heart of Jesus, Immaculate Heart of Mary

Immaculate Conception consecrated its church and school to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Earlier this week, Fr. Matt re-dedicated the church and school to the Sacred Heart. For parishioners who would like to hear the prayer and read it in their own home, please visit www.sacredheartcolumbus.org.

Framed pictures of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary are now visible in all our classrooms and other places throughout the parish campus; the photos capture the stained-glass windows of Jesus and Mary, which can be found to the right of the altar in the church. A second rendition of Jesus and Mary can also be found in Marian Hall and in the Gathering Space. Immaculate Conception Church also has a chapel dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Sacred Heart of Jesus
The heart is the symbol of human love. This Catholic devotion honors the Sacred Heart of Our Lord, which was manifested to us via God’s eternal love for everyone.

Immaculate Heart of Mary
The devotion to Mary’s heart is essentially concerned with the love that her heart has for Jesus, for God. The fact that her heart is Immaculate – sinless – means that she is the only fully human person who is able to really love God in the way that he should be loved.
