In the gospel of John, Jesus invites his disciples to a deeper relationship of love, and then says “feed my lambs”! As the Church in the Diocese of Columbus, we are called to do this in specific ways. The theme of this year’s Bishops Annual Appeal, “Living the Joy of The Gospel”, calls us as people of faith, to share joyfully the good news of Christ with those who most need to feel his love, as we continue Christ’s work on earth as faithful disciples. This Appeal gives us the opportunity to support the Good Works and ministries that bring hope to so many of our brothers and sisters throughout the 23 counties of our Diocese.
The goal for the diocese this year is $6.85 million and our parish goal is $141,472. Our response to this appeal is one way to share our blessings with our neighbors and to express our gratitude for all that our loving God has given to us.
As I shared with you this past weekend, the ministry and mission of the church is for “All of Us” to respond joyfully in living the gospel! There are many needs that we support such as: meals for the needy, scholarships to Catholic school families, formation for seminarians and deacons, evangelization and outreach to college campuses, hospital chaplaincy, and many more. For everything that we do that goes above our goal we will put towards the repair and widening of our East North Broadway entrance and parking lot. That is exciting news!
Let us pray together for the growth and ministries of our diocese, and support the Bishop’s Annual Appeal. I ask each of you to participate to the best of your ability, always remembering God’s generous love and gifts for us. I am confident that together, with everyone’s participation our parish will exceed our goal!

Sincerely in Christ, through the intercession of Mary our mother,
