This year, due to COVID-19, parishioners will receive ashes in a different manner. Sprinkling ashes on the crown of the head is a method that has been used for decades in the Church in other parts of the world. This is the method we will use this year at Immaculate Conception.

Ash Wednesday Collection to Benefit J.O.I.N.
The Ash Wednesday collection will again benefit the Joint Organization for Inner-city Needs (JOIN). JOIN operates under Catholic Charities of the Columbus Diocese. Located at 578 E Main St, JOIN provides emergency assistance to the poor and vulnerable throughout the Diocese. This assistance may be in the form of food, life sustaining medications, utilities, infant needs, birth certificates, transportation, personal care/household items and more. Please place your donation in the safe in the Gathering Space, in a side chapel offertory box, send it to the parish office or donate through the parish website (Click on Give Now on the gray bar.)
